About Jacqui
I have a degree in Law (Honors) from ANU. I have over ten years of tutoring experience with primary and secondary students (HSC and AST included), adult ESL students, and pupils with learning disabilities and vision impairment. In this capacity, I've taught everything from basic grammar and speech writing skills, to AST test prep and the complex research requirements of HSC major works. I have coached Debating at elite Sydney and Canberra private schools, and am an International Public Speaking Champion. I have completed thirteen years of training with the Australian Speech and Communication Association, and received my Diploma of Communication, allowing me to assist students not just with written but also oral tasks.

I generally use preliminary sessions to get an understanding of how the student works, what areas they need to focus on, and to hear about their goals for these sessions. This also allows me to focus on creating bonds with my students that allows us to work collaboratively in order to help achieve their full potential. From there, it becomes a collaboration between the student and myself, working on tasks they may have coming up and developing their skills. Focus: - English (Advanced and Extension courses) - History (Modern, Ancient and Extension courses) - Public Speaking and Debating - Creative Writing and Essay Skills Availability depends on needs of the student.
