About Ilyana
I am a recent philosophy graduate from the University of St. Andrews. I have knowledge in ancient philosophy, ethics, epistemology, modern and medieval history. I found the subjects challenging, frustrating, gripping, but overall rewarding. I hope to help any students who are intimidated by long, dense texts find their footing in philosophy and modern history.

I find it frustrating to spend the same amount of time working through the things you do know, as you do on the things you don’t. However, you cannot cover individual parts of a topic and leave others out - you need to know how things relate to one another. As such my teaching format will briefly cover an entire section, e.g. modal metaphysics, and then after some discussion we will highlight the things people are struggling with and then work on those more intensively. After that we will round back and consolidate the information together, and hopefully the students will have a wholly better understanding.
