About Adriana
I have 10 years of experience teaching chess and hold a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics and a Master’s in Educational Psychology. My academic background allows me to understand both strategic logic and effective teaching methods. Over time, I have trained players at beginner and intermediate levels, helping them improve tournament performance and decision-making skills.
My approach combines structure with encouragement. I believe chess improvement requires both disciplined study and positive motivation. I explain ideas clearly, break down positions step by step, and adjust lessons according to each learner’s pace. Students appreciate my calm guidance and detailed feedback after games.
I continue studying modern chess strategies and classic grandmaster games to stay updated. Chess remains a strong intellectual passion for me. Seeing students improve their focus, planning ability, and confidence brings me great satisfaction. I am dedicated to helping learners build both strong results and strong thinking habits.

My chess lessons focus on building deep understanding rather than simple memorisation. I begin by teaching strong opening principles such as piece development, centre control, and safe king placement. Students learn how to evaluate positions calmly and make thoughtful decisions. I use clear explanations and guided examples so complex ideas feel manageable. Every session includes practice positions where learners apply strategies immediately.
As students improve, we study advanced tactics like double attacks, discovered checks, and defensive resources. I encourage careful calculation and pattern recognition through puzzle training. Endgame study is also essential, and we explore king activity, pawn promotion strategies, and practical rook endings. After each practice game, I provide structured analysis to highlight strengths and areas for growth. This reflection process builds discipline and sharper awareness.
Chess develops patience, logical reasoning, and emotional control. I help students stay calm under time pressure and think several moves ahead. With steady guidance, learners gain confidence and strategic maturity. My goal is to help each student become an independent thinker who approaches the board with clarity and purpose.
