About Rebecca
I recently moved to France from the United States; I am binational (French by my husband) and bilingual (English/French) and my Master's degree is specific to teaching English to students whose language is not English. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching English. I find personal satisfaction in seeing my students progress, and in adapting my lessons to each individual. I assess areas for improvement so that my students improve their English quickly and progress in their high school or university English courses.

I was born and raised in the United States, and have a Master's degree (Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have 24 years of teaching experience. I have taught English to people from all over the world at every level (I also taught French in the United States for 11 years). I am bilingual English / French).
I can teach high school students and adults--University level or professionals. I adapt my methodologies according to student needs and interests.
I can travel within a radius of 30 km or give lessons online.
I begin a series of lessons with an initial assessment of the student's needs, goals and level of English. I also take into account the availability of the student and the time he or she can dedicate to learning the language.
I teach listening, speaking, reading and writing through games, role-playing, reading newspaper articles, poems, stories, and music. I explain, demonstrate, and do exercises on pronunciation and grammar. We can also work on specific vocabulary according to the student's needs.
If the student is a high school or university student, I analyze his English course syllabus and adapt my methods in order to improve or perfect his level in his courses.
