About Olivia
My name is Olivia, I am 24 and a recent graduate from the University of East Anglia. I hold a first-class BA Honours in American Studies. I spent a semester at Framingham State University in Massachusetts, USA where I had a GPA of 4.0.
I am dependable and kind, with a love of learning, writing and history. I am patient but firm, and I truly want everyone to succeed in their studies. I thoroughly enjoyed my studying for my GCSEs and A Levels in History and English Literature, and I would love to pass on that interest to others. I am passionate about championing the humanities in a society that often overlooks them for the sciences, which is why I enjoy helping others succeed in studying subjects like English and History.
I have one year of tutoring experience, with one of my former students currently reading Classics at Cambridge University and another studying Economics and Politics at Birmingham University.

I hold a first-class BA Honours in American Studies, which combined history, literature and politics. I also achieved an A* in English Literature at A Level, and a B in History.
I have a year of tutoring experience, with one of my students now attending Cambridge University to read Classics.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A Level students, but I am able to help those in KS3.
For History, while I am available to help with the content of the syllabus, again my focus is on exam technique and essay style questions and writing. Applying historical knowledge can often be where a student falls short on a paper, rather than their knowledge of the subject, so perfecting this is critical for strong exam results. Typical lesson length is 45 minutes to an hour.
