I have just finished studying my A-levels and as I have decided to follow a path into teaching once I go to university I believe that tutoring would be a great idea as it will help younger people succeed and and enjoy their time within education.

I have previously done some tutoring and peer mentoring in my last school and have found in order for a student to gain the best amount knowledge from the sessions it is vital that they best suit them and their needs. Generally depending on the subject and the level I'm teaching at I will base my teaching off of how much content the student already knows, for example if a student is unaware of one part of the spec more attention will be focused on learning that while the sections that are known will just be revised through recall techniques.
