About Tamara
Hi, I'm Tamara. Singing has been at the center of my life for years, and teaching it is something I take seriously and genuinely love doing.
My training runs across two worlds. I've studied opera and musical theater under expert French artists, which gave me a strong, disciplined foundation in breath, range, and vocal health. Alongside that, I earned a distinction in Trinity College London's Rock and Pop exam with a score of 99 out of 100, so I'm just as at home with contemporary styles as I am with classical technique. That combination is rare, and it's exactly what lets me help a beginner sing a modern song with real control.
What matters most to me as a teacher is that you feel comfortable. A lot of people are quietly nervous about their voice, and my job is to make singing feel safe, encouraging, and actually fun. I prepare for every session, I'm patient, and I meet you where you are, whether you've never sung in front of anyone or you just want to sound better on the songs you love.

My classes are built around one simple idea: you learn fastest on a song you actually love. So in our first session you bring a song you want to sing, and that becomes the project we build together.
A typical class has three parts. We start with a short warm-up and a few targeted exercises for breath, pitch, and tone, the foundations that quietly make everything else easier. Then we work on your chosen song line by line, shaping phrasing, control, and expression until it sits comfortably in your voice. We finish by setting one or two small things to practise before the next session, so your progress carries over.
What sets my teaching apart is range. My foundation is in opera and musical theatre, where the real technical discipline lives, and my background is in rock and pop, where we put that technique to work on the music you want to sing. That mix means I can help you sound stronger and more confident without losing the feel of the song.
These classes are for absolute beginners and anyone coming back to singing after a break, whether you are a teenager, a college student, or an adult who has always wanted to sing properly. No experience needed, no music reading required, and no exams. Just your voice, a song you love, and steady, encouraging guidance.
