My teaching approach for Algebra is centered on abstract algebra with a focus on ring theory. I begin with definitions of rings, including commutative rings, rings with unity, and zero divisors. I teach subrings, ideals, and quotient rings with detailed proofs and examples. I cover polynomial rings, including divisibility, irreducible polynomials, and unique factorization domains. I also cover integral domains and fields, and their properties. I use examples from number theory and geometry to make abstract concepts more concrete. I provide detailed notes, proofs, and problem sets. I assign homework that includes proof writing, theorem applications, and problem-solving. I conduct weekly tests and provide feedback on reasoning and clarity. I maintain a progress log and offer additional support for challenging topics. My goal is to prepare you for advanced studies in abstract algebra and related fields.
