About Aemma
To my future students, firstly I sympathise with you, I've been through the school system and I know exactly what it's like. I had to have a maths tutor when I was younger and she helped my confidence in a way I'll never forget. I want to be a teacher later on in my life and while I am not qualified in teaching through university. I can provide a helping hand with school work and basic understanding. Tutoring will not only help you, but also me, as it will teach me more about English. If you dislike English as a subject, I will work with you to find extracts that you find interesting so that you can enjoy your lessons, rather than see them as a chore. Please remember this, just because you have a tutor, does not mean you are a bad student or are less smart than others around you; It just shows your commitment to achieving your goals, and that is something to be proud of.

My approach to tutoring will be to go through work that is set and work together to focus on the student's problem areas. If there is a section that I am not familiar with in the student's work, we will work together to find a solution. My lessons will be 1 hour long typically. My lessons are for students who are struggling with English as a school subject, and young children learning to read and write, ideally primary to GCSE level.
