About Moira
I'm Moira and I'm currently a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. My major is in Aerospace Physiology and I have three minors which are Chemistry, Human Factors, and Psychology. I work as a tutor there for General Chemistry 1 and 2, and I've taken courses there from General Chemistry up to Biochemistry. As a tutor at ERAU I am CRLA trained and am well versed in many teaching methods. I enjoy helping students excel in their courses and encouraging a path of academics.

My main goal during lessons is to ensure understanding. I do this through problem solving at all levels. It is not helpful to just provide answers for students, helping them understand how to get there is crucial. A typical lesson plan includes: An overview of the lesson, examples of applications of the lesson in the real world, introducing material, and example problems. These lessons can be modified for grades between 6 and 12 , and are mostly centered around general chemistry. However, they can be modified to meet the needs of most students in science classes in those grades and beyond, including college level courses.
