About Sebastian
I am a first year Aeronautical Engineering student at Loughborough University, with a strong background in the study of maths and physics at GCSE and A-Level and an enthusiasm for STEM. With a passion for teaching, I have successfully helped my students at their current levels through online and in-person tutoring. Living in the UK for my whole life and successfully getting through my studies, I have a very strong understanding of exam preparation, technique and the examination system in the UK as a whole. I aim to create a positive environment in which my students feel comfortable and encouraged to ask questions.

Teaching KS2, KS3 and GCSE Maths, I ensure that my students thoroughly understand the content for their level - in order to be able to apply that knowledge to tricky questions where most marks are gained in an exam. With a solid understanding of ideas and methods in mathematics, my students will find problem-solving questions more accessible. I also ensure to focus on exam-technique such as timing, accuracy, and the ways to approach a challenging question.
My lessons will be 50 minutes long, in which we will initially go through content and ensure a high level of understanding. Then, we will go through many practice questions, ensuring my students are given the opportunity to attempt some questions on their own.
I have successfully helped one of my students prepare for and sit the challenging 11+ exam. I ensured my student performed their best by focusing on exam technique and problem-solving skills. I also have previous experience teaching maths to younger children in KS2 and KS3.
