About Bradley

I've worked with over 20 private students of all ages covering French language and culture for school, travel, and business. I've consulted business professionals working with French clients and companies on intercultural management, work culture, professional language, and more. I specialize in authentic French by focusing my lessons on pronunciation, natural speech, and listening to native speakers from France, Quebec, and other French-speaking places. Each lesson uses a French article or video to illustrate grammar points; you will immediately be immersed in the French language and apply new skills with every lesson. Being a native English speaker, I am aware of the faults many English-speaking learners of French make and can therefore preemptively address these common mistakes. About the lesson

Classic, classroom French is taught with out of date, static textbooks (think learning English through Shakespeare) in an ineffective linear way (verb conjugation, then grammar, now time to read something, pronunciation way later, little speaking practice, etc.).

Because communication is so layered, I teach everything together, little by little. You can't study grammar without reading and writing. Listening skills require an understanding of pronunciation. Cultural know-how underpins the entire language. In short, each aspect is innately tied to the other. You will learn vocabulary, grammar, and verbs each lesson through exercises that strengthen reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

I use current French newspapers, YouTube videos, TV shows, texts, books (anything I get my hands on!) to craft lessons that fit your level and your end goals.
