About Erin
Hello! My name is Erin, and I am an advanced classical pianist who has been playing piano since I was five years old. Over the years, I have developed a strong foundation in piano performance, technique, and music theory, culminating in the completion of RCM Level 10 Piano. Music has been a huge part of my life, and I love sharing my knowledge and passion with others.
I have performed in recitals, competitions, hospitals, nursing homes, churches, and community events. I regularly volunteer my time by performing for patients and residents in hospitals and nursing homes, and I also play piano interludes at church services. These experiences have strengthened my performance skills while allowing me to use music to bring joy and comfort to others.
In addition to piano, I am also a competitive basketball player. Balancing music, athletics, and academics has taught me discipline, perseverance, and strong time-management skills. I bring these qualities into my teaching and encourage students to develop confidence, dedication, and a positive mindset toward learning.
As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. Whether you are a beginner learning your first notes, preparing for RCM examinations, developing your music theory skills, or working toward performances, I tailor lessons to each student's goals and learning style.
My goal is not only to help students become stronger pianists but also to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music. I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy their musical journey.

My approach to teaching is personalized, encouraging, and focused on helping each student develop both strong technique and a genuine love for music. As an advanced classical pianist who has completed RCM Level 10 and performed in concerts, competitions, hospitals, nursing homes, and churches, I understand the importance of building a solid foundation while keeping lessons engaging and motivating.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's goals and level. A typical lesson may include technical exercises, scales, repertoire work, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory. I emphasize proper technique, musical expression, and effective practice habits so students can continue improving outside of lessons.
What sets me apart is my combination of advanced training, performance experience, and ability to connect with students. Having recently progressed through the RCM system myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a clear and relatable way. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and expressing themselves through music.
Lessons are available for beginners through intermediate and advanced students. Whether you are learning piano for the first time, preparing for RCM examinations, improving your music theory knowledge, or working toward performances and competitions, I am committed to helping you reach your musical goals.
To help students and families determine whether my teaching style is the right fit, I offer a free first lesson. This introductory session allows us to discuss goals, assess current skill levels, and create a personalized plan for future lessons.
