About Harsha
Hi, I'm Harsha Pendyala and I'm a third-year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School with lots of teaching experience. Teaching has always been something I’ve been incredibly passionate about and it gives me a sense of fulfilment like no other discipline does. Helping students truly understand challenging concepts and watching their confidence grow is deeply rewarding and is what drives me to keep teaching.

I’m a demanding but encouraging tutor, with an approach that focuses on building an intuitive understanding of the subject’s principles. I then build the content upon this foundation, so my students actually understand what they learn and not just memorise it. Alongside this, I endeavour to maintain a friendly, safe environment in my lessons that students can make mistakes in and ask questions without fear of judgement.
- I bring 3+ years of tutoring experience, including formal training with independent tutoring companies, Kumon and Explore learning.
- I have a long track record of previous students having moved up multiple grades in the first few months!
- Firstly, I prioritise building a sound, intuitive understanding of the subject content.
- Secondly, I adopt an exam-application focus, teaching students’ ideal phrases to use that guarantee them marks.
- I am comfortable adjusting my approach, when a method isn't clicking for a student and adapting to how they learn best.
- I maintain transparency by updating parents on what we cover each lesson as well as making a plan to tackle each student’s areas to work on.

Harsha is an excellent chemistry tutor who has a deep understanding of the subject. He’s always patient and takes the time to break down complex topics into simpler parts, making them much easier to understand. He also taught me how to approach and answer exam questions in a way that maximises marks , something that helped me a lot in the beginning. Thanks to our lessons together, I now feel much more confident in A-level Chemistry.
