About James
Hello there! My name is James, I am a full-time guitar educator from British Columbia, Canada. I am a patient, dedicated teacher that excels with beginning and intermediate students. My lessons are usually one-on-one, however I am happy to discuss setting up a group lesson with you! I am a session musician from Vancouver, BC, recording and playing with Canadian artists including Coal Davie & The Rockabillionaires, Chris Corey, Rowdy Spurs, and Luke Wallace. I have taught guitar and ukulele lessons for 10 years at schools around British Columbia, such as Long & McQuade, Tri-Cities School of Music, and Temple Music Academy. Additionally, I am a regional coordinator for Ukulele Kids school programs that teach lunchtime ukulele lessons to groups of elementary students. While continuing as a teacher in the program, I also coordinate classes and develop programs in new areas. Please reach out with any questions, and I look forward to meeting you.

Acoustic guitar lessons for beginners, taught virtually in one-on-one sessions. Students will get everything they need to excel at the fundamentals on guitar. Lessons are tailored to the student and will use a combination of playing by ear, and music notation/guitar tablature, based on each student's goals. Beginner-friendly material designed to inspire and make learning guitar enjoyable.
Students will receive clear directions and materials to work on in between sessions.
