About William
I am starting a Biochemistry degree at university this September after recently completing my A-levels, achieving A*A*A. Maths has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I enjoy helping others understand concepts that they may initially find difficult.
I am patient, approachable and dependable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting things wrong. As someone who has recently been through secondary school and sixth form, I can relate well to students and understand the pressures that can come with preparing for important exams.
I take tutoring seriously and will always come to sessions prepared, organised and ready to make the most of the time available. My aim is to provide a supportive environment where students can make consistent progress and become more confident in their own abilities.

My lessons are tailored to each student and focus on building both understanding and confidence in maths. I explain topics clearly step-by-step before working through examples and then giving students the opportunity to attempt questions independently. I also use exam-style questions to help students become familiar with the techniques and problem-solving skills needed for their GCSE exams.
Lessons are typically one hour long, although this can be adjusted depending on the student.
I achieved a Grade A in A-Level Mathematics in 2026 so having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-levels, I am familiar with the current style of maths exams and understand which areas students can find difficult.
My lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE Maths students studying either Foundation or Higher, as well as younger secondary-school students who want additional support with maths. Lessons can be adapted to the student's ability, whether they need help understanding particular topics, improving their exam technique, or working towards a higher grade.
