About Evie
I am a year 12 student studying A level English Literature, French, and History. At GCSE level I received grade 9s in both English language and Literature, a distinction in English speaking, as well as a 9 in French. I also received a grade 8 in history. Building my confidence through GCSE English opened a world of opportunities for me, developing my outlook on life and creating a self-assurance I would’ve lacked otherwise. This love of learning and focus on success and confidence is something I wish to share and develop with others.

For each of my lessons I use a 5 part model: • A short starter (~5 minutes) • Modelling the lesson focus (~10-15 minutes) • Guided practice (~10-15 minutes) • Independent task (~5-10 minutes) • Feedback + next steps (~5 minutes) These 40 minute lessons are tailored to meet the student’s individual needs and can be adapted to better suit them. The first session will typically be diagnostic and focus on understanding how I can help specifically. I have experience in tutoring through helping tutoring year 11 students in French as well as helping my peers and siblings in English. In my sessions I hope to create a learning environment where the student can develop both their subject knowledge and their confidence in English.
