About Lily
With a Master’s degree in Physics and 7 years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping students turn difficult physics topics into concepts they can understand and apply with confidence. I teach GCSE, A-Level, and university students, adapting my lessons to suit different abilities and academic requirements.
Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a student-centred approach that combines clear explanations, logical reasoning, mathematical techniques, and plenty of guided practice. My aim is to help you understand the principles behind physics rather than simply memorise equations.
I can support you with topics such as mechanics, motion, forces, energy, electricity, circuits, waves, fields, electromagnetism, thermal physics, atomic physics, nuclear physics, and quantum mechanics. Lessons can also be tailored towards coursework, assignments, revision, or examination preparation.
I believe every student can make progress when they receive the right guidance and encouragement. My sessions are relaxed but focused, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, identify weaknesses, practise problem-solving, and build confidence.
Whether you are starting from the basics or preparing for advanced university assessments, I will work with you to make your physics learning more effective and rewarding.

Physics becomes much easier when you understand the ideas behind the equations. My lessons focus on developing that understanding while strengthening the analytical and mathematical skills needed to succeed in examinations and further study.
I teach students at GCSE, A-Level, and university level, adapting every lesson to suit their individual requirements. Whether you need help catching up on difficult material, want to prepare for upcoming exams, or simply wish to deepen your knowledge, we can create a learning plan around your objectives.
During our sessions, I break complicated topics into manageable sections and explain them using straightforward language. We can explore areas such as mechanics, dynamics, electricity, circuits, waves, oscillations, thermodynamics, fields, electromagnetism, particle physics, and quantum physics, depending on your syllabus.
A major part of my teaching involves applying knowledge to questions. You will practise interpreting problems, selecting appropriate equations, rearranging formulae, checking units, explaining reasoning, and reaching accurate solutions.
For exam-focused students, I can also provide guidance with past papers, question analysis, mark schemes, and revision strategies.
