About Angel

Hello! I’m Angel — a passionate and dedicated tutor based in London and the founder of SmartPrep Academy. I hold an MBA in Finance and Technology from University of Roehampton, UK, and I’m committed to helping students unlock their full potential in English and Science. During my academic journey, I discovered a strong interest in teaching and mentoring through peer tutoring, where I helped fellow students improve their understanding and performance. That experience showed me how powerful the right guidance can be — and it’s what inspired me to start teaching younger learners. My goal is to make every student feel confident, capable, and motivated. I believe that with the right support, clear explanations, and a positive approach, every child can excel. I bring patience, structure, and enthusiasm to every lesson, creating a learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to achieve their best. Whether a student needs help building strong foundations, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in school, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on building strong foundations, improving confidence, and making learning enjoyable and effective. Every student learns differently, so I personalise my lessons to match each child’s unique strengths, pace, and learning style. How I Teach: I begin with a quick assessment to understand the student’s current level and areas for improvement. Lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored — combining clear explanations, real-world examples, practice questions, and short quizzes. I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and develop problem-solving skills rather than just memorising. Regular feedback and progress reports are shared to keep parents informed and students motivated. 📝 Lesson Length: Most lessons are 60 minutes, but I can offer 45 or 90-minute sessions based on the student’s needs and attention span. My Qualifications: I hold an MBA in Finance and Technology from a UK university and have strong academic experience, including peer tutoring and mentoring fellow students. My background helps me teach in a structured, goal-oriented way that produces results. Who My Lessons Are For: I specialise in tutoring students from Year 3 to Year 11 (ages 7–16) in English and Science, whether they’re looking to: Strengthen their fundamentals Improve school performance Prepare for exams (SATs, 11+, GCSE, etc.) Boost confidence in challenging topics My goal is to help every student feel motivated, confident, and capable — and to see learning as something they can truly enjoy and succeed at.
