I am an accounting student and as a part-time job for the past three years I have been tutoring. I have worked for well-known tutoring companies including Kumon and Explore Learning!

I believe in active learning whereby the children learn best when we go through questions as opposed to them being presented with loads of information. It’s better remembered when applied in the context of a real problem!
I begin classes with warmup exercises relevant to the subject being taught as a refresher.
We will then look at a question together and how we can attempt to find the answer, going through each individual step, ensuring full understanding throughout.
I will then provide a practice question that the children are to attempt individually to demonstrate understanding! We will then go through the question together.
This process is repeated, through practice of methods children learn and can then apply the concept taught to other problems they are presented with!
