About Joanita
With over 21 years of accounting and managerial experience, countless qualifications and short courses and success up to the level of Chief Financial Officer for a group of 11 companies, I am sure that I will be able to get my students to understand and even enjoy accounting or bookkeeping. We will keep it simple, fun and interactive.

A lesson plan, spanning over a couple of weeks, consisting of easy to understand business management and accounting principles, building on the previous lesson week after week, ending in a final where students will be able to start a business, successfully market it and accurately record all income and expenses to a point where their financial statements can just be audited.
A draft of the lesson plan, which will be regularly revised and adapted, follows:
Week 1: Learning Business and accounting terminology
Week 2: Income vs Expenses, profit margins, planning
Week 3: Compiling a Business Plan/Proposal
Week 4: E-mail and Social Media Marketing
Week 5: Recording transactions and bank reconciliations
Week 6: Profit and loss calculation
