About Sasha
I'm Sasha, a second year Accounting and Finance student at UoY. I believe tutoring works best when lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on breaking topics down into simple steps, encouraging questions, and building confidence by celebrating progress along the way. Although it's not part of my degree, I have a real passion for Economics, and I know from personal experience how important the right support can be—I managed to take my own Economics grade from a D to an A at A-Level, which is why I love helping others unlock their potential. My lessons are one hour long and structured to cover key concepts, practise exam-style questions, and tackle tricky areas in a clear, approachable way. I teach all students up to and including A-Level students, and I always aim to make learning feel less overwhelming and more rewarding.

My approach to tutoring is centred around creating an engaging, supportive, and structured learning environment that helps students build confidence in their subject. I tailor my teaching methodology to each student’s needs, using a mix of clear explanations, step-by-step problem-solving, and active questioning to encourage critical thinking and deeper understanding. Lessons are typically one hour long, allowing enough time to cover key concepts, practise exam-style questions, and address any areas of difficulty and feedback on them. I specialise in tutoring Economics, working with students across a range of abilities and ages to strengthen their knowledge, develop effective study skills, and improve exam performance.
