Guitar + Rhythm Training + World MusicRhythm is the backbone of great guitar playing. In my lessons, I combine guitar training with focused rhythm exercises and exposure to world music styles. Students learn to play complex rhythms and understand grooves from Latin, African, and Indian traditions.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s rhythm comfort level and use communication and real-world music as teaching tools. We study artists like Rodrigo y Gabriela and Paco de Lucía to explore different strumming techniques and time signatures. Case studies and exercises are tailored to improve coordination, timing, and feel. This approach creates a well-rounded guitarist with a strong sense of global musicality and timing.
