About Jorge
I’m a professional drummer with over 30 years of experience in live performance and studio recording. I grew up in a musical family and began playing from age 8, performing classical percussion as a child while continuing to expand my musical studies.
From the start, I was immersed in a wide range of styles, which shaped my versatility and deep appreciation for rhythm and sound. Over the years, I have performed extensively across the UK, Ireland, Spain, and South America, both live and in the studio. I’ve worked with bands across multiple genres including Rock, Metal, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Fusion, Electronic, Funk, Drum & Bass.
I toured Ireland and the UK with the Hip-Hop/Jazz band The Infomatics, performing at major venues and festivals and supporting established artists such as Nature by Nature, Lupe Fiasco, Saul Williams, among others.
In the progressive and metal scene, I played with Sentience, and in 2017 we won the UK final of Metal 2 the Masses at Scala, securing a place on the Newblood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air, also playing at Tech-Fest UK.
I am currently recording the second album with my post-metal band, Itself Timeless. Alongside drumming, I work as a Sound Engineer, Music Producer, and DJ, bringing a broad technical and creative perspective to every project.
My combined experience behind the kit and behind the desk allows me to approach music with both musicality and sonic precision. All of this, feeds directly into my teaching. I focus on helping students enjoy the drums, build solid technique, and develop their own musical voice, whether that’s through groove, feel, or more technical playing.

My lessons focus first on understanding you as a drummer; your physical approach, personal style, and the way you listen to and interpret music. From there, we shape the lessons around how you want to play and the music you enjoy most.
I am an open and attentive listener, and I plan each lesson to be both engaging and practical. Sessions may include working on songs you love, developing specific techniques, or exploring drum fills and ideas that inspire you.
Alongside this, I provide solid technical and practical foundations that every drummer needs, helping you build good habits, consistency, and confidence through regular practice.
As I have been predominately a Metal drummer I will also teach you the way drums are seen and felt in Metal, plus Double Bass techniques and tips to practice and embrace over the kit.
