About Mollie

I am currently studying an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Medical Sciences, although I have not yet completed this course I have achieved distinction grades in all of the units completed to date. I have also undertaken A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology as well as an extended Project Qualification. During my secondary education, I was head girl and house captain, as well as coaching young students netball and teaching students how to read. I currently run study sessions for my peers and regularly assist others with their coursework. I would be best suited to teaching GCSE any of the following: English Language, English Literature, Maths, Statistics, Physical Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, French, Art and Design, or, First-Year A-Level Students any of the following Biology, Chemistry, Maths.

As a young student who has only completed my GCSE's within the last 5 years I have a good understanding of the current education system and can offer invaluable advice to students on understanding mark schemes, grading and the level of detail which is required to achieve the best grades possible.

About the lesson

The student's individual requirements will always be discussed before any tutoring commences to get a better understanding of the areas that need improvement and which exam board each student will be examined by.

I would normally commence lessons by using Power Point presentations tailored to the individuals needs, these will explain the fundamentals of the topic and explain any terminology, methods or processes. I will follow by offering a range of exercises of varying difficulty level which I will work through alongside the student, giving hints and tips until they are capable of answering questions independently. In my opinion, it is key to practice exam questions and fully understand the mark schemes, therefore I will carefully select old exam material for the student to look through. I will aid the students I tutor in producing 'model answers' for questions by always striving for top marks. These can then be used by the students for revision.

I will always be happy to answer any questions and provide advice on homework, reports or assignments.

Details

Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior if a student is unable to attend, otherwise, a refund will not be given.

Rates may vary depending on the level of education each student wishes to be taught at.
Maximum cost of AS Level (First year A-Level) tuition: £12 per hour.
Maximum cost of GCSE Level tuition: £10 per hour.

As some units are much easier to teach, prices may be lower. Every students individual requirements will be considered before pricing.
