About James
In 2015 I graduated with an MSci Physics (Distinction) from a top Russell Group institution (University of Bristol).
I have always excelled academically;
*I achieved 9 A*'s and 2 A's at GCSE.
*I was in the top 1.7% globally for the International Baccalaureate, achieving 7, 6, 6 in higher level physics, mathematics and chemistry respectively. I simultaneously achieved an A* in A level physics and mathematics to broaden my education in those subjects.
*The work in my final year at Bristol was selected for publication in a prestigious scientific journal.
I have a good amount of tutoring experience amassed in the years since I graduated and all of my repeat students have been very happy with the teaching they received. This has been reflected in their results which in every case have been improved from their past performance with a number of students seeing drastic changes.

I help my students maximise their potential by pushing the boundaries of their abilities at every stage. With concepts they struggle with I ensure with patience they gain the understanding they need; and when they naturally pick something up I waste no time and challenge them further. I relate what is being learnt to real world examples often to keep students engaged and deepen their understanding. I often find students surprised by their own level of interest and abilities in the subject matter when it is presented to them in the right way.
