About Shannon
I’m a dedicated special education professional with over 15 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students who learn differently. I hold an M.S. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences and am currently completing my M.Ed. in Special Education at George Mason University. I specialize in supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and executive functioning challenges. I’m known for my flexibility, creativity, and ability to adapt in real time to what each student needs—no two learners are alike, and I excel at differentiating instruction to meet a wide range of strengths, needs, and goals. My approach is individualized, strengths-based, and grounded in both research and experience. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed—not just in school, but in life. Whether we’re working on academics, organization, or IEP-related goals, I create a supportive environment where students feel seen, understood, and capable.
