I am a lifelong music lover.
I began studying classical piano at 12, and have played everyday since.
I have completed A level music with an A* grade.
I have played various styles of music with different musicians.
I personally am enthralled by music theory and study scores from the baroque, romantic and modern eras.

My approach will vary dependent on the age, ability and goals of the student.
I can teach in a formal, classical style, taking the student through the scales, pieces and sight reading. In preparation for their grade exam.
I can teach Jazz, learning by ear and demonstration, with a focus on developing improvisational skill.
I can teach music theory, with reference to all types of music.
I can teach more popular songs in easy to follow 'play what I play' technique.
