I am a high school English teacher, track coach, cross country coach, and I was a dancer for 20 years. I have so much experience working with students and learning about what type of instruction works best for them. I typically focus my lessons on engaging materials, texts, and videos that help teach the necessary skills but still allow us to have fun. For example, if we are learning about non-fiction writing, I will choose topics that YOU are interested in to help you grow as a student.
I am a coach as well, and I find that my coaching experience is something that helps me be super empathetic and motivating to students who are struggling. I want to help you be better and not feel discouraged by your assignments. We will work hard, but we will have fun while we do it.
