About Mildred
I've always been drawn to explaining things clearly, it's why I teach the way I study: by understanding the mechanism behind a fact, not just memorising it. I've spent years working with children in nursery and school settings before starting medicine, and I've tutored throughout my degree alongside research and clinical work.
I offer UCAT preparation and medicine interview coaching alongside Maths, Biology and Chemistry tutoring, and I know first-hand how stressful the medicine application process is, having been through it myself. I enjoy helping students build genuine understanding and confidence rather than just cramming content. I keep my teaching structured around clear learning objectives and exam-style practice, so progress is easy to see and track.

I tutor GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and I know how frustrating these subjects feel when a topic just won't click, whether that's exam technique in Maths, understanding a biological pathway, or balancing equations in Chemistry.
I'm a 5th year medical student, so these subjects are still part of my daily work, not something I learnt years ago and forgot. My lessons focus on understanding why something works, not just memorising steps, because that is what actually holds up under exam pressure.
A typical session starts with a quick check of where you're at, works through the topic using worked examples and past paper questions, then finishes with a short recap so you know exactly what to revise next. I set clear objectives for every lesson and track progress so you can see what's improving.
I've spent years working with children and young people, both in nursery settings and through tutoring, so I know how to explain things clearly without making anyone feel behind.
