About Shauna
My name is Shauna Finnegan, and I am 24 years old residing in Mallow, County Cork.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Limerick, successfully obtaining a degree in the Bachelor of Arts, of which my focus was English and Sociology.
In 2024, I returned from Greece, where I completed my Erasmus+ placement, and this experience taught me valuable educational, life and cultural lessons.
I would like to tutor students of primary and secondary level education because it is an aspiration of mine to teach young students the beauty of the English language and offer creative and educational resources to you that will assist and motivate you as you navigate English Literature and Language in the classroom.
Studying English can be difficult - especially if you are learning modern and old poetry - but I am here to help you on this path. I have successfully completed four classes relating to modernist poetry and numerous classes relating to the English Language (essay structuring and creating a compelling thesis statement, Feminist theory in literature, Victorian literature, etc.)

I would be a suitable tutor for people who need assistance with Higher/Lower-level English in secondary school. I will create a lesson plan based around your needs and what you struggle with the most. First lesson will be introductory; getting to know one another, discuss what the student would like to focus on and discuss what they would like to get out of completing lessons with me. After the introductory session, a lesson plan will be created.
