About Jihan
Hi! I'm Jihan, a third-year medical student at the University of Bristol with a strong background in STEM subjects (A* A* A A at A-level, 10 x 9s at GCSE). Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy—it feels good to help someone finally get a topic they’ve been stuck on, especially when I’ve been through it myself. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring; I try to explain things in a way that makes sense to the person in front of me. I know what it’s like to be a student under pressure, and I want to use my experience to make things clearer and less stressful for others. Whether it's mastering tricky topics or preparing for medicine applications, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

I offer tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths up to A-level, and I also support students applying for Medicine, whether it's with personal statements, interviews, or entrance exams (UCAT & BMAT). My lessons are typically 1 hour long, and I tailor my approach to each student to keep sessions clear, engaging, and confidence-boosting. In our first session, I'll work with you to determine a target and preferred teaching style, as well as identify weaker areas that need improvement. I’ve recently followed a similar academic path, so I know how to break things down in a way that actually makes sense. My lessons are held online, via whichever video call service you prefer.
