About Callum
Hello, I’m Callum, a medical student at the University of Glasgow School of Medicine currently intercalating in Emergency Medicine at the University of Plymouth, based in Manchester. I have an interest in Anaesthetics/ICU, A&E and Medical Education. I’m passionate about guiding medical applicants throughout their journey to medical school and developing my teaching skills which will be very useful in my medical career.
Aside from medicine, I’m a keen dinghy sailor and I regularly sail and race at a university level whilst enjoying the social aspect of sailing and university life. I am involved in lots of University Societies and sit on a number of committees.

I believe simply having knowledge won’t help you, you need to understand the techniques and strategies to ace your exams. Therefore, I believe it is not my job to simply teach you the information but to help you develop strategies to tackle any question which could come up. I also put a significant emphasis on practice, it is the single best way to prepare and I help all my students not only get the right answer but also to understand the process of reaching that answer.
I believe lessons are an hour to two hours are an optimum length to allow for learning without exhausting the student. I have over 500 hours tutoring experience teaching a variety of subjects, follow-more I have been involved in teaching revision sessions to medical students and have five year experience as a sailing instructor.
My lessons are aimed at school pupils from S4-S6 (Year 11 to Year 13).
