About Vanessa
Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I'm currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I'm from Hong Kong so completed most of my schooling there, but completed my IB diploma at United World College (UWC) in Norway. I have experience tutoring kids, peer tutoring IB, as well as volunteer tutoring at a special needs school and teaching English to asylum seekers. I have experience working with people from very diverse backgrounds. I love reading, swimming and board games. I'm also a keen Go player and have a 3 dan qualification in Go and would be happy to teach that too if you're interested! I'm flexible in approach and will tailor to your needs. Due to Covid I would prefer online lessons on Zoom. I can teach in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
