About Maya
As a student myself, I understand the stress comes with balancing school, friends and extra-curriculars. I have 3 years worth of tutoring experience and had tutors in high school so I know what to expect and how to best help students improve and learn new skills and content. Alongside this, I believe a good tutor must be organised, have excellent time management, be well versed and knowledgeable and, most importantly, be patient.

I have extensive experience in tutoring IB English, as well as other subjects. My approach to tutoring is very application focused - I am happy to patiently explain a theory, but the most important part is practicing the skills of application. Regarding English, I have a lot of experience in essay writing, creative writing and oracy. The length of my lessons will be between 1 - 2 hours, depending on the amount of work and practice necessary. I am happy to tutor students from Y2-10 and any IB students in Y11/12.
