About Mohammed

As a fourth-year medical student at Cambridge, my passion for teaching spans diverse backgrounds. I am committed to guiding aspiring students in achieving success in securing positions at UK medical schools through the guidelines I provide. With a strong academic background of A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, alongside ranking top 4% in my third year with a distinction in my iBSc and first hand experience in the rigorous medical education system, I bring both expertise and empathy to support your journey.

About the lesson

I am Mo, a 4th year medical student from Cambridge, and have recently completed my iBSc in Neuroscience. I teach all levels of Biology, Chemistry and Maths from GCSE to A-Level and also offer BMAT, UKCAT tips. I am also experienced in personal statement and CV writing tailored to Oxbridge university admission standards. In our initial session, we'll dive into your expectations and subject goals. We'll use past paper questions to strengthen your understanding of the topic, offering constant feedback. Subject specific lessons would entail outlining the curriculum requirements and highlighting learning strategies to condense high volume information into digestible segments. We'll weave in regular interview practice, focusing on the key areas commonly addressed in medical schools with the likes of MMIs and Oxbridge interviews. I can provide effective feedback on a personal statement, begin by acknowledging strengths and evaluate the overall structure, coherence, and clarity, ensuring consistency in tone line by line with comments. BMAT and UKCAT support from my 3+ years of teaching Yr13 students who have followed my revision process and received offers from UCL, Imperial and Manchester. As a professional crammer myself, I have mastered efficient learning techniques such as active recall, repetitive learning and a plethora of other study techniques which I can tailor to students with specific learning needs.
