About Kailey
Hi! My name is Kailey and I am currently a 4th year student at Western University studying Biology. I have a strong academic background in biology and a passion for helping others understand how living systems work. I have taken courses such as genetics, molecular biology and environmental biology, and I use this diverse foundation to support students who want to improve their grades, boost confidence, or deepen their interest in science. I love using flashcards and diagrams, and have a wide range of exam strategies to help my students connect with the material. Outside of school, I enjoy being active outside, spending quality time with friends and family, and baking. I bring a friendly, approachable energy to every session; whether you're preparing for a big test, catching up after falling behind, or just want a clear understanding of biology, I am here to help!

I use a student-centered and active learning approach focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break complex biological concepts into clear, digestible parts using visual aids, real-world examples, and active recall strategies like questioning, diagrams, and mnemonics. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their preferred method of learning—whether that’s visual, verbal, or kinesthetic.
I’m a current university student studying biology, so I understand what it’s like to learn these topics now. My lessons are ideal for high school or middle school students that need a tutor who can meet them where they're at :)
