About

Hi! I’m Adam von Housen, a violinist originally from Atlanta and based in Brooklyn. I’ve taught violin privately and coached youth orchestra sectionals since 2004. I have extensive performance experience in multiple genres and would be an excellent teacher not only for beginner students, but also for preparing intermediate/advanced students for auditions and competitions. My thorough and detail-oriented approach to my personal practicing is also applied to my teaching with neutral, supportive feedback for students, with the understanding that teachers are and should try to be role models for young students.
