About Ruthu
As a tutor, I bring a strong foundation of subject knowledge, achieving 11 grade 9's at GCSE and 3 A*'s at A-Level (biology, chemistry and maths).
This, combined with effective communication skills, ensures that complex concepts are made accessible and engaging to students, shown by previous positive feedback from former tutees.
I carefully plan and tailor my lessons to fit student goals and priorities, using evidence-based techniques such as active recall and spaced repetition to enhance learning and retention.

My lessons are designed for school students and students who are looking to apply for medicine (MBBS). They are student-focused, with lesson structure being dependent on student goals and priorities. During lessons, I aim to ensure thorough understanding of topics and directly tackle weaknesses, using active recall, clear explanations, and exam-focused questioning. I have had previous experience in tutoring medical interview prep, and teaching GCSE level (and lower) biology, chemistry, and maths. My sessions can be for as long as the student wishes, with typical sessions ranging from 1-1.5 hours.
