Alden is an inspiring, dedicated, and excellent teacher. I have been a student of Alden’s for almost two years. Throughout my grad school studies in music, he taught me Logic and Ableton, catching me up to speed to be able to keep up with my curriculum. Not only did he give me a solid understanding of the basics in an engaging and well thought out way, he also taught me many unique techniques in both DAWs that have since allowed me to increase my workflow efficiency, and better hone in on my creative sound using more advanced techniques. Alden also has an amazing ability to meet students where they are - for example, for me, he will tell me which plug-ins and things I can look towards purchasing in the future, while showing me effective workarounds using stock software. I feel more confident as a producer and always eager to have another lesson with Alden as his passion for the craft and for teaching is invigorating and inspiring.
