About Chloe
I am a 2nd year biochemistry student at Imperial College London and have been working part-time as a tutor for just under a year. I have experience tutoring 2 GCSE students in English Language/Literature, while also tutoring in chemistry for both GCSE and A level. English was always one of my favourite subjects in school, while both reading and creating writing are still 2 of my favourite hobbies - I have received prizes for my creative writing both at school and in an external writing competition. I received grade 9 in both GCSE English Language and Literature, while receiving an A for English Literature A level, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Sharing my experience and love for English is extremely rewarding and I look forward to continuing to help build students' confidence in this subject. I have experience studying and tutoring in the following texts: Macbeth, Lord of the Flies, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations and the Love and Relationships poetry anthology.

I have a flexible approach to lessons and respond to my students' needs, regularly asking for feedback. Depending on what the student has requested, I may prepare notes on the themes/key quotes/context of a text they are studying, or we may spend the lesson planning essays together. Alternatively, I may provide questions, give the student time to write a paragraph and then give feedback. I also provide tips for revision where the student does not feel confident about this. I do everything I can to support students in the stressful time of GCSE revision, and work hard to create a safe space where questions are highly encouraged.
