About Ellen
I am a 2nd year student of Religious Studies at the University of Edinburgh, one of the top ranked schools of Divinity in the country. Having studied Religious Studies at school, and now at university, I know the challenges of GCSE and A-level exams first-hand, with the additional knowledge I've acquired through taking it to a higher level. I can teach a variety of religions, including Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism, and focus on both the theory and practice.
My approach is based on my experience as a student, particularly sourced from the lack of dyslexic or learning difficulty inclusive approaches. My aim is for my students to express to me what words best for their style and what their challenges are, since I know exactly how it feels for this to be overlooked.

I am a university student, reading Religious Studies and History of Art. My approach is to build from the foundation up, in line with exam board criteria for KS3, GCSE and A-level, but if there is an area of particular interest I am more than happy to explore it with my student. I work with my student, seeing if they have any challenges or interests, and learning through discussion. I want my students to feel confident in approaching exams, through exam technique, as well as knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. The techniques my students pick up can be applied to other essay subjects and will be invaluable skills for beyond their academic life.
