About Tasniya

Having sat countless exams myself, including A-Levels, GCSEs, the medical school entrance exam, medical school exams etc. and consistently coming out with top scores, I feel like I've accumulated some top tips for revising over the years and understand that learning really is a process. I'd like to pass this wisdom on to help make exams easier for other students. I also genuinely love teaching and seeing the difference I'm making to a student's understanding. Teaching will also form a huge part of my further career so I'd like to take any chance to develop this skill as much as I can!

About the lesson

There are three key steps to acing exams which I always make sure to follow:
Step 1. Really understanding content
Step 2. Actively recalling content
Step 3. Practising exam questions to apply content

My main focus when tutoring is to always keep the lesson engaging and interactive mainly by asking students to actively recall things and by using the online whiteboard to explain key concepts.

Aside from this, I like to figure out what type of learner my student is and tailor my lessons to fit them!

Currently, I am a 2nd year medical student at King's College London; I achieved all A*s at A-Level and 9s at GCSE.
I have experience in tutoring a wide variety of students, ranging from tutoring KS3 Science and GCSE Sociology to A-Level Biology and Chemistry . So far, I've mainly tutored in person but am now branching out to teaching more students online.

At the moment, my lessons are aimed at students studying to sit their A-Level/GCSE Biology or Chemistry exams as this is what I have the most expertise in.
Typical lessons last between 60 and 90 minutes.
