About YKW TUTORING

Hi! I’m Sanjeevan, a second-year Canadian medical student with a lifelong passion for teaching and learning. I specialize in MCAT prep and high school subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, and functions. I’ve been tutoring since high school and have taught in diverse environments — as a first aid and swimming instructor, a teaching assistant at McMaster University, and a biology teacher in a private high school. My teaching approach is student-centered and rooted in the science of learning. I tailor every lesson to how you learn best — whether that’s through diagrams, acronyms, spaced repetition, or memory techniques. As an aspiring pedagogist, I use reflective teaching practices to constantly improve and personalize my support. My goal is to make challenging material understandable, engaging, and unforgettable. Let’s work together to build deep understanding, long-term retention, and academic confidence.

I’m deeply passionate about teaching and learning — not just the content, but the science of how we learn. As an aspiring pedagogist, I use reflective teaching methods, meaning I’m constantly adapting, improving, and personalizing based on how you're responding. Every lesson is a two-way collaboration: I teach, but I also listen and adjust.
