About Zahlia
I am deeply passionate about English and Literature not just as school subjects, but as part of everyday life. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I believe it is more exciting than schools make it out to be. I want to teach students how to read and write in an educated manner to make the process easier and more enjoyable. If you like music, movies, or TV shows, I'm sure I can help you learn to like English. From this point, improved assessment scores necessarily follow.

I have two years of experience in tutoring both primary and secondary students, and have learned to understand each students' strengths to personalise my approach to teaching. English is a broad subject with many transferrable skills - I focus on the skills that align with the student's interests to make the subject both more comprehensive and engaging.
I am available to tutor both primary and secondary students, including for Year 12 exam preparation. I have studied General English and English and Literature Extension at a secondary level, but am happy to tutor Literature students as well. Typical sessions run for an hour, though this is negotiable upon request.
