About Beth
My name is Beth and I'm studying English Literature and French at Glasgow University. I have been teaching in some form since I was 14 volunteering at my local Girlguide unit. Out of all the subjects I have studied, English was the one I had to really teach myself. I want to tutor for English because I can teach others to do well in the subject themselves, as I have learned to do, instead of requiring further tutoring for every year they study English.

As English exams are graded in a less structured way that any other subject, it can be frustrating when trying to improve your grades. Trust me, I know. I speak from experience when I say that sometimes the best thing is to work with someone other than your class teacher. Whether you struggle with tone, analysis or grammar; I have methods that I have used myself to improve this. My tutoring would be based on my personal experience that brought me from Cs to As.
