About Noah
Hi! My name is Noah and I'm a university student with a passion for chess and helping others improve.
I've been playing chess for several years and have reached a 2250 rating in Chess.com Rapid through consistent study and practice. Along the way, I've learned what actually helps players improve—and what often wastes their time.
I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, practical concepts that students can immediately apply in their own games. Whether you're completely new to chess or looking to reach your next rating milestone, my goal is to make learning enjoyable, structured, and rewarding.
Outside of chess, I study biology, enjoy going to the gym, and love solving challenging problems. I believe improvement comes from good habits, thoughtful practice, and staying patient with the process.
I'm excited to help you become a stronger and more confident chess player!

Whether you're just learning the rules or trying to break through a rating plateau, my lessons are designed to help you improve efficiently and enjoy the game.
As a 2250-rated Chess.com Rapid player, I focus on building strong fundamentals instead of memorizing endless opening lines. Every lesson is tailored to your current level, goals, and playing style.
During our lessons, we will:
Analyze your own games to identify recurring mistakes.
Improve tactical vision and calculation.
Develop better strategic understanding and planning.
Learn practical opening principles and opening ideas.
Study essential endgames.
Build a personalized training plan to help you keep improving between lessons.
I encourage students to think through positions and explain their ideas rather than simply giving them the "correct" move. This helps develop lasting chess skills and confidence at the board.
After each lesson, you'll receive clear practice recommendations and exercises so you know exactly what to work on before our next session.
I primarily coach beginner and intermediate players (approximately 500–1600 Elo/Chess.com) and aim to make every lesson engaging, structured, and adapted to your individual needs.
I look forward to helping you reach your chess goals!
