About Christian
Hi, I'm Christian! I've recently finished my final university exam on 8 October 2026, and after a few years of hard work, I'm really looking forward to officially graduating with my Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in Medical Genomics.
Next year, I'll be starting my Honors research at Geelong Hospital, which is something I'm really excited about. My hope is to eventually get into medical school and become a doctor, ideally specializing in medical oncology. It's been a goal of mine for quite some time, and I'm grateful to be getting a little closer to it.
Having gone through VCE and university myself, I know that studying isn't always easy. There have definitely been times when I've felt overwhelmed, struggled to understand certain topics or spent hours trying to get my head around something. I think that's partly why I enjoy tutoring so much. I understand what it's like to be on the other side, and I know how much it helps when someone takes the time to explain something properly.
Over the years, I've picked up quite a few study techniques and little tricks that have helped me, particularly mnemonic devices, memory techniques and different ways of breaking down complicated information. I really enjoy sharing these with students and hopefully helping them find what works best for them. I don't believe there's one perfect way to study, and I certainly don't think everyone learns in the same way.
A little bit about me outside of studying! I'm Italian, so food is a pretty big part of my life. I absolutely love cooking, trying new recipes and, of course, eating! I'm also a massive tennis fan, and when I say massive, I really mean it. I love following Formula 1 as well, and one of my favorite ways to unwind is taking my Cavoodle out for a walk. I also really value spending time with my family and the people closest to me.
I've spent several years working in a leadership role alongside my studies, which has taught me a lot about patience, communication and working with different people. I think these are really important qualities to bring into tutoring, especially when every student has different strengths, personalities and ways of learning.
I'd like to think I'm a pretty friendly, patient and easygoing person. I never want a student to feel uncomfortable asking me a question, even if it's something we've already gone over a few times. I remember how frustrating it can feel when something just isn't clicking, and sometimes all you need is a little more time or for someone to explain it differently.
For me, tutoring is about more than just marks and study scores. Of course, I want my students to do well, but I also want them to feel more confident in themselves and hopefully enjoy learning a little more along the way.
Whether you're aiming for a high study score, trying to improve your grades or just need someone to help you through a subject you're finding difficult, I'd be more than happy to help. I certainly don't have all the answers, but I'll always do my best to support you, encourage you and share what I've learned along the way!

I believe every student learns differently, and something that works well for one person might not necessarily work for another. That's why I like to take the time to get to know my students, understand where they might be struggling and find an approach that works best for them.
I offer VCE English and Biology tutoring for Year 11 and 12 students, with lessons tailored to what they're currently learning at school, upcoming SACs and exam preparation.
Throughout my own studies, I've picked up quite a few tips and tricks that have genuinely helped me, and I love being able to share these with others. Some of my favorite techniques include mnemonic devices, active recall, spaced repetition and breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces. I've found that even the simplest memory tricks can make a big difference, particularly in Biology, where there's often so much content to remember.
For VCE English, I help students work on their essay writing, text analysis, structuring arguments and expressing their ideas more clearly. For Biology, I focus on making complicated topics easier to understand through diagrams, examples, practice questions and different ways of remembering key information.
My lessons usually run for 60 to 90 minutes, although I'm happy to adjust this depending on what works best for each student. I also like to work through past VCAA exam questions and practice SACs together, as I believe understanding how to approach a question is just as important as knowing the content itself.
Having studied biomedical science at university, I understand how challenging and sometimes overwhelming studying can be. I've certainly had moments throughout my own education where I've struggled to understand something, so I know how much of a difference it can make when someone takes the time to explain it in a way that finally clicks.
Above all, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. Whether you're hoping to achieve a high study score, improve your grades or simply feel a little more confident in class, I'm more than happy to help.
For me, tutoring isn't just about helping students achieve better marks. It's also about encouraging them, building their confidence and helping them realize what they're capable of.
