About Abby
Hi! My name is Abby, and I'm currently studying medicine at James Cook University in Townsville. I thoroughly enjoyed my years as a high school student, studying General English, Math Methods, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, and am extremely capable of teaching all five. As a graduate of the most recent QCE cohort, I understand how tough the content can be, and that having someone to help is extremely necessary, whether you are a passing student or even an extremely high achiever. My goal is to ensure that my students understand the content they are learning, while also enjoying their learning. I am a fun, upbeat, positive individual who loves to learn and teach, and I promise to bring these qualities to every session to ensure you get the best out of your learning.

As a graduate of the QCE cohort of 2022, I have experienced the content that is currently taught first-hand, and I understand the stress and worry that can come from exams and assignments. From previous tutoring experience, I have acquired a fun-but-firm teaching approach when it comes to tutoring, encouraging my students to enjoy their learning while also working with them to understand their content. I allow an hour for each lesson, as I understand that young minds get distracted after lengthy periods of learning time, for ages ranging from grade 7 to 12 in science-based subjects, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
