About Taksheel
I'm Taksheel, a current Master's student and IB biology tutor. I received a 7 in Higher Level IB Biology, and graduated with an overall ATAR of 97.90. I love biology and science, and I believe the IB is a great curriculum for high-achieving and driven students. An IB diploma can open up many opportunities in life. However, with that being said, IB marking can often be unfair, overly specific or confusing. Especially for IB biology. My lessons are designed to help students get comfortable and familiar with what IB markers are actually looking for, and what exactly scores a 7.

IB Biology tutoring from a 7-scoring HL bio past student.
Many students know the content, but still get 4s or 5s. This is usually because they haven’t been taught how to answer in the way IB expects. The markschemes are strict and specific, and most schools don’t explain them well.
I teach students how to study with the markscheme in mind—how to write answers that score, what examiners are looking for, and how to avoid losing marks on things they actually understand. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and weak spots.
